About Me
My mother always used to say to me, “If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” So I won’t. I’ll write it down instead. Sarcasm and irreverence are my best friends and, unfortunately, part of my DNA, so if you are conservative, stuffy and humorless, go away. If you wonder why anyone is presumptuous enough to think people will want to read the ramblings of some self-absorbed blogger, go away.
My daughter sometimes rolls her eyes in embarrassment when we are out in public because I tend to stare at people. I am fascinated by why people act, walk, talk, and think the way they do. I admit it. I am a relentless and zesty stalker of the mundane. And, as the famous anthropologist, Margaret Mead, said years ago, “There is no more creative force in the world than a menopausal woman with zest.”
I am unwritten, can’t read my mind, I’m undefined
I’m just beginning, the pen’s in my hand, ending unplanned
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten ~ Natasha Bedingfield

The “couture beginnings” grabbed my heart……I swear I remember you in that outfit. I was probably whining over on the sidelines because my dresses were never as lovely as the King Girls’ .
